| The Baxter SPS 450 Hemodialysis Machine
is a reliable creation with performance features that meet your standard dialysis therapy
needs. The SPS 450 is a single-patient hemodialysis machine that prepares dialysate,
circulates blood through an extracorporeal circuit of blood tubing and hemodialyzer, and
monitors the system for safe operating conditions.
Along with the Baxter SPS 450, the 550 has a unique Volumetric
Ultrafiltaration Control and Monitor System, which assures patient safety with the
dialyzer. This innovative system uses four technologically advanced volume sensors which
accurately monitor and control fluid being removed from the patient.
Ultrafiltration Profiling minimizes Hypotensions and the need
for nursing interventions. A standard feature of the 550 is the UF profiling. This
minimizes hypotension and may reduce nursing interventions by removing the patients fluid
at variable rates similar to the patient's own vascular rate. |
